As doulas, our mission extends beyond just support. We strive to empower you, providing the tools and resources you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. We believe in fostering an environment of trust, respect, and empathy where your feelings, fears, and hopes are heard and validated.
Being a doula can sometimes feel isolating, and we believe in the power of shared knowledge, professional development, and mutual support. Our collective is a safe space for doulas to grow professionally and personally, ensuring that the support you receive from a Seattle Birth Doula is informed, empathetic, and of the highest quality.
At Seattle Birth Doulas, we offer two main services: Birth Doula support and Postpartum Doula support. Both services are designed to provide you with the physical, emotional, and informational support you need at different stages of your journey into parenthood.
Our Birth Doulas are your trusted companions during labor and delivery. We understand the fear and anxiety that can accompany the anticipation of birth. Remember, fear is your body's attempt to keep you safe. It's completely normal, and we're here to help you befriend that fear and transform it into confidence.
Our doulas provide continuous emotional support, comfort measures, and information about the birthing process and can help you advocate for your wishes during labor and birth.
Life with a newborn is a mix of emotions. The wait is over and you get to live with this adorable baby, and it can also be quite exhausting and confusing. That's where our Postpartum Doulas come in. With extensive experience, our Postpartum Doulas offer support with newborn care, feeding, interpreting your baby's cues, household tasks, baby bathing, and much more.
We specialize in helping families with babies from birth to 12 weeks, and we provide trauma-informed, evidence-based care to the whole family.
At Seattle Birth Doulas, we believe in the power of informed decision-making. Whether it's deciding what tests to do during pregnancy, choosing pain management techniques, or deciding on medications for yourself and your baby, we provide you with the information you need to make the best choices for your unique situation.
Remember, self-compassion is key in this process. You are making the best decision with the information you have, and we're here to support you every step of the way.
We would be honored to be a part of your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. If you have any questions or are ready to hire a doula, don't hesitate to reach out to us.
